**This is an unconventional case for the AINF- but we simply couldn't stand by and not help** Penny Lane and her owner Elizabeth were in a very bad accident, both of them were severely injured, and both of them were transported to the hospital. Penny Lane was taken by Animal Control to the PETS Emergency Center where she was taken very good care of. Once she was stable, Penny was transferred to Animal Control to wait for her mom. Upon waking from what is a pretty bad head injury, Elizabeth immediately began to ask for Penny. When it was then explained that in order to get Penny back, she would need to pay over $2000.00 for her medical care. As you can imagine Elizabeth has a very long road ahead of her and $2000 was simply not Immediately possible. The Animals In Need Fund was able to pay the bill so Elizabeth could be reunited with her beloved friend and service dog. However, funds are still needed. The money paid by AINF is considered a no interest loan. We know that Elizabeth was already financially burdened and the medical bills ahead will only compound her situation. We are opening up a fund for Penny Lane. Every donation will go straight toward paying off Elizabeth's promissory note. AINF was given a 15% discount on her bill from PETS Emergency Hospital and we are able to pass that discount to Elizabeth. To "Sponsor" Penny Lane and Elizabeth, click the Penny's Fund button below.

We'd like to rescue Tess from the SLO Shelter and are hoping to have some sponsorship help us do so. She was surrendered by her family at the age of 17 because of a housing change. Super sweet and likely having typical old kitty health issues (needs a dental, blood-work, etc). THAT's where you come in!!! Can YOU donate $5 or $10 or $20 to help us care for her vet needs? You can make a great difference with even a small donation. Just think, if 50 people donated $10...

Meet Laci: Lacy's owner was incarcerated. She went to stay with his mom for what was hopefully going to be a short while. Unfortunately, things have not gone as planned and Laci is still with her grandmother. Laci is a very good girl, however she is a young Golden Retriever with a lot of energy! Her grandmother suffers from COPD and she is unable to even walk Laci. As a result, Laci is becoming overweight and out of control. We are seeking donations to hire a professional service to walk Lucy. Several member of AINF are also volunteering to walk her on the days the service doesn't. If we all work together we can help to get Laci and her grandmother past this difficult time. Laci's owner loves her very much. He is trying hard to get home, and the thought of Laci waiting for him motivates him to keep going.
