Mercury is one our newest AINF friend. At approximately 8yrs young, this kid is happy, healthy and freaking adorable. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is having a dental this week. Merc seems to connect more quickly with women but with time, he will learn that men are pretty ok, too 😉. (There is absolutely no aggression, just extreme shyness with men he does not know.) He gets along with other dogs and has done well with cats. We are not sure of Mercury's past and don't want to speculate...we are excited for his bright future. In order to be sure we are taking care of Merk and his new family, he was scheduled for a dental cleaning today. During his preanesthetic exam, the Dr. heard a heart murmur which could have made anesthesia risky and could mean an underlying heart condition. The good news is that he got a clean bill of health! When we take an animal who needs us into the program, we don't always know if there are underlying health issues. It is VERY important to us that we never set a family or pet up for heartbreak, which is why in these cases we provide the tests and medical care needed. There is no dollar amount that could equate to the amount of love Merc has to give but there is a dollar amount it took to be sure he is healthy. If you would like to donate toward his medical care, please click the button below. Thank you.
Meet Our New Friend Milo!
Milo was surrendered to the the Animals In Need Fund when his owner was no longer able to care for him. It is obvious that he has had a good life, he was loved, as he is very loving. As far as we know he is 11yrs old, however it is a VERY young 11. He is a very happy boy with a sparkle in his eye and a bounce to his step. We removed a large mass from his front leg and gave him a dental cleaning. His blood-work results were those of a puppy and we are fairly certain that the mass is benign. (it has been sent off for histopathology just to be sure) If you would like to foster, or potentially adopt please let us know by calling 805-619-0588. If you would like to donate to his cause please click on the button below.

Sponsor A Litter
Meet Laci: Lacy's owner was incarcerated. She went to stay with his mom for what was hopefully going to be a short while. Unfortunately, things have not gone as planned and Laci is still with her grandmother. Laci is a very good girl, however she is a young Golden Retriever with a lot of energy! Her grandmother suffers from COPD and she is unable to even walk Laci. As a result, Laci is becoming overweight and out of control. We are seeking donations to hire a professional service to walk Lucy. Several member of AINF are also volunteering to walk her on the days the service doesn't. If we all work together we can help to get Laci and her grandmother past this difficult time. Laci's owner loves her very much. He is trying hard to get home, and the thought of Laci waiting for him motivates him to keep going.
